Teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home , to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. - Titus 2:3-5
We have women's classes, women's retreats, women's bible studies, women's outreach, and so much more. We grow, encourage, sharpen, and learn together strengthening our lives, our homes, our relationships, and Christ's church.
Ladies mark your calendars and schedule your babysitters for October 23rd-24th. The 2009 Valley Ladies’ Retreat is coming up. Our theme for this year is “Privileged to be Chosen”, and we are blessed to have Laura Boswell from Fairbanks coming as our guest speaker. Our retreat this year is going to be held at the Birchwood Camp. So, get ready for a weekend of growth, fellowship, and fun. Hope to see you there!
Another year and another successful ladies’ retreat. We were blessed to be able to spend the weekend at the beautiful Meier Lake Conference Center once again. We were also blessed to have Kim Binkley return as our guest speaker this year. Each year we we walk away from these retreats having grown and so encouraged. We would like to add a huge thank you to everyone who works so hard to make this possible.
Lesson 1 – Kim BinkleyFor the first time ever this year we brought up a guest speaker for our annual ladies retreat. Kim Binkley from Texas was our guest speaker. She delivered some wonderful, challenging lessons that inspired a lot of growth. We are so thankful to her for her faith driven lessons. We also had a great time getting to know her and some great fellowship. Once again the men did an amazing job with our menu and we all left the weekend feeling pampered.
We had a wonderful ladies retreat this year. As in years past, we hosted our annual ladies retreat at the beautiful Meier Lake Conference Center just outside of Wasilla. Our theme this year was Joy, in all of its wonderful aspects. We had six different ladies each provide their unique perspective on Joy. Our weekend was full of challenging lessons and spiritual growth. Thanks to everyone who helped make our weekend a success. Especially to the men who so graciously turned out to cook for us!
